lugerp08.jpg (13096 bytes)

Operation: Semi-automatic
Caliber: 9mm parabellum / 7.65 mm
Capacity: 8 rounds
Weight
: 2 pounds

Again the epitome of the WW2 German soldier - The Luger. This pistol was in fact designed by Georg Luger and was manufactured in 2 calibres - 9mm parabellum & 7.65mm by amongst others DWM. It was a prewar design and was already obsolete by the time of the outbreak of hostilities. It was mainly issued to SS troops although a large number of officers purchased them privately and retained them throughout the war for service use. It was also issued to vehicle crews and machine gunners as a self defence weapon.
