The Rats Judgement

(by Weasel)

The Rats! Some say they aren't analyzed enough. Well, I'm here to stop that. Below is a list of every rat I have had the displeasure of over-analyzing and making hypocritical remarks about. You think your score is unfair? Think you actually do have a personality or traits worth noting? Maybe you should drop me a line. I'm available on the message boards or via email. I make references to CS; Counterstrike is a MOD for HalfLife... We play on The Rat's Nest, a server at the CRS offices. I no longer have [NEW] next to the new updates, because they are all updated all the time. :)

May 11th, 2000 / 15:52 PST - Counterstrike: The Rat's Nest is down, probably because of the opening of the Closed Beta (tm). I think this judgement will be changed to Opel Killing once the beta is released.

ALIAS

DETAILS

APPROVAL

Snail

Fortunately for snail, I'm biased from his work on RaiderWars. I must keep his score high so that he is motivated to build an incarnation of PR... And the recent promotional video mentions "Space." Now this could be referring to "Traveller," a game they announced "obtaining." The only game to ever best WWIIOL... +6 points for that. Plus a very intuitive e-mail on the Zen of Handles scored him another 2 points. Also, the recent closed beta application processing score of .. well .. One hell of a lot.

99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall sung in an upward direction.

Rafter

Rafter is a Bot written by Ramp. 6 points for very smooth interface. BUT! He also got rid of the sewer-manhole-cover image and replaced it with a CRS logo, making the Sewer News look Goofy. -3 for that. As of this writing, it hasn't been fixed. An additional -3. But it does seem that whenever something good happens, it can be connected to Rafter... +3 again. And to increase my chances in getting in closed beta, +75.

78

Ramp

Ramp is a Bot written by Rafter. 6 points for that. Even though Dragon is not listed as a moderator, she can moderate messages.. So good work Ramp, for letting someone else do the majority of the work and taking all the credit. +2 for being Weaselly. Ramp also has the most defineable personality, and seems like a swell guy! This negates any negative thoughts I may have had about him. I don't think he has any influence on closed beta.

8

Tongue

Tongue does the webpages for the Rats. The fancy new Playnet.Com and the Sewer both belong to Tongue. Niiice. And all done in a text-editor, no less! True class. True 8-points-of-pro class. Gets points for responding to e-mails... And bonus points for responding quickly =) +2 total. As of this writing, he's even CONSISTENT! and is quite amusing. He made the popular online game Arrowbridge, he did. *rolls eyes* +5 for that. Also has no influence on closed beta.

14

Mo

Mo is the keeper of secrets. Whenever we don't have enough information to keep us entertained, Mo is to blame. Unfortunately, he is also in charge of keeping entertaining details from enemy hands, thereby keeping the game more fun in the long run. He is often featured on the RatChats, and brings us many fabulous things. Mo seems to bring more than he holds back.. Probably due to the fact that we don't know what cards he has. 6 points. Mo also declared that Killshooter will always be on for me. This makes the game immensely more difficult - but I love challenges! +2. And he can probably ORDER anyone to let me into closed beta. That's a good 1000 points right there.

1008

DocDoom

DocDoom probably sits on his butt all day. I think he has a real job. I also think he's an Aussie.. And.. Well.. 6 points for being so damned entertaining. He's an "Editor." oo ahh. He didn't even go to E3. No real threat to closed beta, methinks.

9

Sixxo

Sixxo has been secretly infiltrating the Rats office, +6, and can probably offer to pull his services if I don't get into closed beta. +80 points.

86

Frying Tiger

Frying Tiger is the head honcho art guy. Apparently he's pretty good. The odd times he posts they're usually amusing.. so in his cryptic personality is balanced by his brief humor runs. +6. His amusing "we rule" attitude in the promo video is worth another 5 points. Closed beta value? nil.

11

Elmo

Elmo has spoken up once - he said he was pressured into playing CS for a better score. I still have no idea what he does there. Well, no points in the "general" category for that... But... nah, he can't influenced Closed Beta either.

0

Dragon

Dragon is the evil desk-star constructor. Good sense of humor topped with one of the UBB's greatest additions, the "FORUM IN VERSE"... LONG LIVE THE DESK(tm)! +6. Gets bonus points for e-mail. E-Mailing gets you tonnes of points, guys! (Like, +3!) I think she might have some evil female-y influence on my closed beta access though. :) A good 200 points there.

208

Rogue

I didn't even know rogue worked there until I read the roster. Rogue is really really bad at threatening people and severely lacks content. "Everywhere I go in CS there will be a reticle on weasel..." Pfff, yeah, I'll beleive it when I see it. All talk and no screenshots. Bad evil points for Rogue. -15,002. And I'm not changing it till he proves it.

-15,002

Toto

Toto is an art slave and works under Frying Tiger. His sig line in the bulletin board is good enough to score him 9 points. =) Closed beta sense? nil.

9

Corn

Corn was, apparently, a kickass sound dude from Warbirds. Perhaps he kicked so much ass, his foot embedded in a rat and got dragged down to the company. Doesn't post often but he's great anyway =) 7 points! Corn also came up with a good threat... Gets half a point for that. Actually, Corn is just all around a swell guy. Go Corn Go! +15 (Counterstrike soudns will up your score by several thousand)

22.5

Vandal

Even after my long-standing low pointage to Vandal has rested here, there has been no show. Does he exist? One cannot judge vapor.

0

Hatch

I think I mistakenly called Hatch a 'Bot at tonight's chat. Well, it's set in stone now. Bot's can't have negative points because they are wonderful works of code. I think he was written by Rafter and Ramp collectively. I also think that all those pro points I gave to Rafter were meant for Hatch.. Rafter/Ramp/Hatch are the same person, I swear. Confusion points: 4 Collective beta points to be distributed evenly amongst them: 600

604

Trips

Well, dragon saved Trips from a Slightly Off-Greenish sort of Red death. Trips is none other than Cap'N Trips, THE sheep man. Fortune and glory, kid, fortune and glory. Oh, and he has no impact on closed beta either. This calls for a drastic change in score!

18 x Crunchy Duck

Squirm

Heard a bit from squirm. That's about as far as it goes. I think he mentioned 7 points on the bulletin board, so ... welll ... Naaaah. Negative points for not pro-actively trying to get me into beta. -16.

-16

Sherman

Who knows who he is? He was relatively new at one point. Oh, and he doesn't have much impact on my CB status, does he?

2

Maypole

Sixxo said something that I've been thinking a bit too hard about... "I feel like I will die if I badmouth Maypole." As such, Maypole gets tonnes of points. like, 8. If I get into closed.. well.. actually.. here you go.

1,000,008

Martini

Martini's score will slowly increase by 1 every day, and every point that I WOULD put in Caveman's slot will go to Martini as well. The only way to reverse this is to get 5 votes against Martini's point hording plot. Or until I get some real dirt on Martini.

51

Killer

Killer deserves a lot of attention. I think he leads the rats around or something.. eh.. well.. He's probably the pencil pusher. Sits at his desk all day whipping everyone into shape. Actually, I think he does network code. That's a pro. +6. A little birdie tells me that he should get more points than maypole for closed beta stuff... 10 bazillion.

10 bazillion and 6

Kango

Points galore for the alias! Otherwise don't know em all that well. Wow, what a neato alias. +11. No Closed beta stuff.

11

Hoss

Hoss ... Hoss wrote some Anti-Weasel code. I will be emblazoned in the sourcecode of the best game ever forevermore! Hoss recognized me as such a threat (He must have heard horror stories from DocDoom!) that he adjusted my movement and damage rates down... What a guy, trying to make the game more fun for me by providing little challenges! Plus I get to be the only magenta entity in the game!! yeeehaw! Plus 8! To properly test this new game cody I'll have to be logged into the closed beta, now won't I? +10

18

Hoof

Hoof does a lot of work, I think! Plus 3 for token credit. no CB.

3

Caligula

Caligula reminds me of Calamari, and I like seafood. +4. no CB.

4

Caveman

Caveman's score will remain at -1 for all eternity... Unless certain conditions are met. See Martini's file. Caveman WAS mentioned to be working on something top secret.. so temporary 3 points for ultra cool work =)

2

Salad

Salad really sucks at CS, but not as bad as some rats, like DocDoom. This makes me happy! 2 points worth of happy, actually! Not much word on the UBB yet tho... +2 in anticipation points! No CB either.

4

Gryff

Gryf is in charge of keeping the community together, organizing community events, etc.. And since I'm waiting for a con, BBQ, and closed beta slot... And now that I have a definitive target to attack for said items... -10. I think you know how to rectify the situation, Gryff. (And don't think the two f's is unintentional)

-10
